Who we are
Daily Portion Buddy ("the app") is operated by Bell Cyberworks LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the app and how we handle it. Questions? Email support@dailyportionbuddy.com.
What we collect
- Account info: email address (and, if you use Google sign-in, the name and identifier provided by Google) so you can sign in.
- Tracking data you enter: categories you create, servings you log, mood entries, and any notes you write.
- Family / Social Circle: invites you send or accept, and the membership records that result.
- Basic technical logs: standard request logs kept by our hosting provider to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
- To let you sign in and sync your data across devices.
- To show you your own tracking history, mood entries, and reports.
- To deliver features you opt into — sharing selected mood/portion data with people you add to your Family or Social Circle.
- To send invitation emails to addresses you enter.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your tracking data or notes for advertising.
Sharing and privacy of notes
Mood notes are always private to you. When you mark a mood entry as shared, only the mood value and its date become visible to your Social Circle — never the note. Parents in a family can log private observations about children; those observations are never visible to the child. You can change these choices at any time.
Who processes your data for us
We use trusted infrastructure providers to run the app — including our cloud hosting, database, authentication, and transactional email services. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. If you'd like your account and its associated data deleted, email support@dailyportionbuddy.com from the address on the account and we'll take care of it.
Your choices
- Edit or delete your categories, servings, and mood entries in the app.
- Leave a Family or Social Circle at any time.
- Contact us to request access to or deletion of your account data.
Children
The app is intended for adult account holders. A parent may track a child within their Family. If you believe a child has created their own account without a parent's consent, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
